There are so many things to research and know about what the baby will need.

Many will give you unsolicited advice of which you may or may not find helpful! I was quick to filter out the negative voices to try to focus on what would help me mentally prepare for this thing I knew nothing about.

All I can say is… you’ll never know! Everyone’s delivery is different as is their pregnancy as is their baby! There’s no knowing to prepare for this beautiful, mysterious life that is growing inside of you and ready to come out. I realized that letting go of the things I cannot control is a life lesson that was blaring in my face as we began this pregnancy journey.

We had a miscarriage in 2023, got pregnant January 2024 through IUI, and had our son in September.

Once we got pregnant, so many questions ran through my head…

What if the baby doesn’t like ___ ?
What if I don’t like using ____?
How can I plan for something without knowing what the baby will like?
Do I buy everything so that I have just in case I need it?
