Eczema

I always say there should be a support group for moms with children who have eczema.

The questions and struggles are all so real and all-encompassing:
Why isn’t anything working?
Is this safe for my baby’s skin?
Am I bathing him too much? Too little?
Am I doing the right thing?
Why do I feel so much guilt—even when I’m doing my best?

Eczema doesn’t just affect your baby’s skin. It affects sleep, feeding, touch, play, and your peace of mind. It can leave you feeling isolated, anxious, and exhausted. But please know this: You are not alone.

Other parents are walking this path too, and there is comfort and strength in community.

What helps:

  • Talking to other parents who’ve been there
  • Giving yourself permission to use treatments that work, even if they come with hard decisions
  • Finding a pediatric dermatologist you trust
  • Finding an allergist you trust
  • Making room for your own rest and healing
  • Praying, venting, crying, laughing—however you need to process it

You’re doing a good job.
